Creatures of Comfort (2026)

“Creatures of Comfort” is a maximalist 4 wall mural. The creatures are part of a collective, like a family, who create their own world among a sea of odd geometries. Viewers are invited into the installation by the friendly faces of the large creatures rendered invitingly in a flat, graphic style. The all encompassing nature of the installation creates an environment where these fantastic monsters are the norm, making human bodies the “other”. This subversion of otherness is meant to provide comfort to those with non-comforming bodies and gender-expressions. The transportative quality of the installation allows viewers to explore freely and experience a form of play and uninhibited joy, while reflecting on the differences between bodies.
